Fundraising

  • The Central Florida Gliders is a self-governing, self-supporting organization certified and in good standing in the state of Florida as a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization and all donations are tax deductible. Athletes and their families may organize fundraisers using the club name to raise funds defray the cost of travel and participation to a national championship.
  • The following are some fundraisers that parents and other Glider supporters may wish to organize:
  • Soliciting tax deductible donations and associated matching funds if any.
  • Soliciting uniform and/or equipment purchase sponsorship from local businesses
  • Soliciting individual athlete sponsorship
  • Operating bake sale, popcorn &  candy sales, concessions, magazine subscription sales, car washes from a local parking lot with high traffic, e.g., Wal-Mart, Target, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Sam’s Clubs, Costco, Publix, Banks, etc., and requesting matching funds if available which are distributed to the athletes participating.
