Craig D. Wise
Founder, Executive Director, Managing Coach Coach Craig Wise has more than 25 years experience in guiding athletes and teams to perform competitively, as evidenced by over 60 national championship titles earned by the club’s athletes. He started the club as a healthy activity for his six children. He is a long-distance specialist producing athletes that competed in Footlocker, USATF, and AAU track and cross country competitions. In the last 10 years, Wise has also trained athletes in the hurdles, , sprints, throws and multi-events to compete in local, state, and world-class competitions. He currently manages the Central Florida Gliders’ coaching staff and the club’s expanding operations. Wise has a USATF level I and also a Level II certification in the multi-events. He also has a USTFCCCA Track & Field Sprints/Hurdles Event Specialist Certification as well as a USTFCCCA Technical Certification. Wise holds an MBA degree in marketing and finance from the University of Pittsburgh and BA degree in biology from Hampton University. After a career in corporate banking, he is a successful entrepreneur and professional recruiter, who coaches job seekers and has authored a book on interviewing. He volunteers his time extensively in the community with youth, including coaching hurdlers at a local high school. |

Antonio Burgos
Head Coach, Track and Field Coach, Cross Country Coach Tony Burgos graduated from Inter American University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in physical education. As a member of the university’s track team, he was a four-year gold medalist and maintains the team’s record in the high jump. He held the island record in the high jump from 1987-1994. He was also a member of Puerto Rico National Track Team from 1983 – 1994, competing and medaling in numerous International events. Burgos began coaching track and field in 1987 with his college alma mater and later with the University of Central Bayamon, where he was an assistant athletic director and field and multi-events coach. He coached two of the island’s key women high jumpers, who hold records of 6’ and 5’11″, and two men 7-foot jumpers at the college level. He is an economic self-sufficient specialist with the Department of Children and Families in Orlando, and he is fluent in Spanish. |

Mark Robinson Head Endurance Coach
Coach Robinson excelled in track and field, cross country, soccer and volleyball as a youth growing up in England and Jamaica. During his freshman year at the University of the West Indies, Robinson competed in varsity track and field and volleyball, and junior varsity soccer. Robinson has been a track and field (middle and long distance) and cross country coach with the Central Florida Gliders since 2007. He has earned the following coaching certifications: USTFCCCA Track & Field Endurance Event Specialist, USTFCCCA Track & Field Technical, USATF Level 2 (Endurance Events) and USATF Level 1. Coach Robinson is scheduled to complete USATF Level 3 / IAAF Level 5 (Endurance Events) certification in 2016. Robinson was the club’s webmaster and assists with club administration and marketing. Prior to joining the Gliders, he was a volunteer youth soccer coach for five years. Robinson has an MBA in general management from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from The City College of New York. He is a seasoned business professional with over 25 years of diverse Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial experiences. |

Manuel Lopes
Coach, Cross Country, Track and Field Coach Lopes has coached track and field for nearly four years. In addition to the Central Florida Gliders, Lopes coaches the Police and Athletic League in Jacksonville. After an active high school career in football and track and field, during which he won two state titles, Lopes joined the Florida A&M University’s track team. During his four and a half years there, he competed in cross country, in the 800- and 400-meter track events, and was a member of the 4×400-meter relay team. He was a member of the team that won three conference championships in track and field and individual awards. Lopes completed his Level 1 coach’s certification, holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Florida A&M, and is an electrical design engineer with SAIC in Orlando.

Maite Moscoso
Coach, Race Walking Coach Moscoso began running to keep up with her now 16-year-old daughter when she joined the Central Florida Gliders and competed in her first 5K in 2004. She began race walking in September 2010, following in the footsteps of her husband, daughter, and young son. Moscoso has since trained several Gliders medalists in the sport. She herself qualified for the 2012 Olympic Trials in the 20-kilometer race walk and is training to qualify and represent the USA in future international competitions. Among her many recent accomplishments, she is the 2011 USA 5K Race Walk Champion, champion and course record holder for the Florida State 5,000-meter race walk, and is the South East Master Women’s age 35-40 3,000-meter run record holder. Moscoso holds a bachelor’s degree in economics/accounting from Cuenca State University and received internal business and webmaster certificates from the University of Washington. She is office manager for Shores, Tagman, Butler & Company, P.A., in Orlando. |

Neamen Wise
Assistant Coach, Cross Country and Track and Field Coach Neamen Wise has participated in track & Field for 15 years and has coached for 2 years. He had great success as an athlete recently competing in the USA Indoor Nationals in the long jump. He won several college championships in the long jump and set the school record at the University of South Florida where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration. As a decathlete, he won the Jr Nationals and was a member of the USA World Jr Team. He is a graduate of Lake Brantley High School where he won 2 State High School Championships in the long jump and 300m hurdles. He has been coaching youth in the long jump and hurdles for 2 years and plans to obtain coaching certifications in those events. He works as an account rep with Milwaukee tools servicing Home Depot.

Alvarez Clay
Coaching Consultant After ending his collegiate career as a member of the Southern University track team in 1993, Coach Al Clay began coaching, serving as assistant to Coach Johnny Thomas, head track coach at Southern University. Trained to coach field events, including high, long, and triple jumps, and high hurdles, he went on to become a graduate assistant, coaching the jumps and decathlon. Clay remained with the Southern University track program, coaching All-American high jumpers, hurdlers, and a number of All-Conference athletes until 1998. He joined the Central Florida Gliders in 2000 and has developed a number of youth and junior athletes who have achieved national and international awards and have gone on to have very successful careers in track and field. Clay completed his USATF level 1 certification in 2009. He has a master’s degree in computer science and a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering technology from Southern University. |
